Michael attended the EAO or European Association of Osseointegration congress in Dublin from 16-19 October. As always, the congress was an exciting combination of the latest innovation, research and findings in implantology. The vision of the EAO is to bridge the gap between science and clinical practice. The EAO improves the quality of patient care as the leading voice and resource centre in the field of implant
dentistry in Europe.
There were many outstanding speakers from many countries, chosen on the basis of their expertise. A highlight of the congress was the real and emerging issues that arise in a population that is ageing and which has increasingly complex needs.
Dublin is a very special historic and exciting capital city with friendly and welcoming people. The congress was being held at the spectacular Convention Centre on the banks of the river Liffey. The beautiful and elegant Samuel Beckett bridge, shaped like a harp, was a firm favourite! But a visit to the city would not be complete without
a visit to the Guiness Storehouse, and a lovely time was had by all!
